Our Vision

Our vision is to grow the true potential of Australia’s First Peoples by inspiring and promoting self-determination through education, health and employment.

We provide students with health literacy they can take back to their home communities, deliver nationally recognised health and community services qualifications, and support and guide students in planning and pursuing their individual ambitions.

We broker and facilitate career opportunities and higher education pathways, build the capacity of industry providers to increase Indigenous employment rates, increase Indigenous representation across the health and social services sector, improve health and social outcomes in rural and remote communities, and strengthen Indigenous leadership capacity.

Our Mission

Seed Foundation Australia provides holistic support services to improve the health, wellbeing and employment outcomes of Australia's First Peoples.

"This traineeship has made me become more confident speaking to people and voicing my opinions and ideas to as growing up I wasn’t the type of person who spoke out and stood forward to learn new things especially teach new things... I can now put my skills towards helping the community as it is something I have always wanted to do in my future"

(Miller, 2022).

"I chose the health industry because of my interest in the sciences but also due to my Indigenous heritage, and as a young Aboriginal man I value providing more Indigenous representation in the industry and gaining a clearer understanding of how to “close the gap” regarding health, wellbeing, education, and employment, and what I personally will be able to do to achieve that goal"

(Baker, 2022).

"Seed Foundation Australia has aligned me to apply for the Mater Education diploma by completing a Certificate ll in Health Support Services, Community Services and Certificate lll in Health Services Assistance. By doing these it gave me credits on areas such as hand hygiene and infection control so I didn’t have to redo them when I started the diploma"

(Barrett, 2022).
